Quality Inspection / Non-destructive Fluorescent Penetrate Inspection |
|
|
Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) is one of the non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. It mainly detects surface defects of non-porous solid materials. This technology uses fluorescent penetrants to penetrate into tiny gaps or cracks on the surface of the test object through capillary action. Then, by removing excess penetrants (Method D—water washing method) and applying developer, the penetrants are attracted from defects such as cracks and emit obvious fluorescence under ultraviolet light (UV-A). This technology has extremely high sensitivity for detecting subtle defects such as cracks, pores and inclusions. Chaheng as obtained international certifications from customers Safran, GE Aviation and aerospace third-party NADCAP for Fluorescence penetrate inspection technology.
