Some materials such as nickel-based and cobalt-based superalloys have been widely used in the manufacturing process of aerospace engine components. But usually it’s not easy to maintain quality and efficiency with traditional lathing and grinding techniques due to superalloy’s difficult cutting characteristics. CHPC uses EDM machines to overcome the above problems by customizing many CNC functions and discharge signal tracking function, which greatly improves the quality and process efficiency. This technology has been applied to superalloy materials and been certified by GE Aviation and NADCAP.
