This assembly module machine designed by CHPC has a total of 360 nuts assemble processes with a special lock type that requires 5 NM and 8.2 NM torque respectively and a total of 720 electronically controlled automatic torque locking mechanism required. With manual mechanical ratchet locks, each nut’s tightening time for an average of 10 seconds and a total of 120 minutes for all nuts; with an electronically controlled automatic torque locking module, each nut’s tightening time for an average of 3 seconds and a total of 36 minutes for all nuts. The overall required time is significantly reduced by 84 minutes along with other benefits such as no construction quality due to user fatigue, gestures and only simple training, standardization are required. Not only it greatly reduces human error, improve the yield rate, but also has huge improvement on overall lead-time. This technology has been applied to many engine products and certified by our customer Safran Aircraft Engine. |
